Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
Formerly the American Dietetic Association, the Academy is the world's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals and is committed to improving the nation's health and advancing the profession of dietetics through research, education and advocacy. 

 

Ask NOAH about: Nutrition (NOAH)
New York Online Access to Health (NOAH) covers various nutrition issues in all age groups, as well as Food Science, Vitamins, Minerals & Dietary Supplements. The site is also available in Spanish.
 

 

Food and Nutrition Information Center
Created by the U.S Dept. of Agriculture, the Information Center provides resources for nutrition and health professionals, educators, government personnel, and consumers. There are over 70 nutrition topics such as food labeling, lifecycle nutrition, dietary guidelines, and professional and career resources. The user can also email or phone questions to registered dieticians.
 

 

Nutrition.gov
Nutrition.gov provides information topics such as meal planning, physical activity, dietary supplements, food safety, and USDA education materials. Special features include: MyPyramid Food System, where you can personalize your diet based on your age, sex, and physical activity; calories/nutrients look-up for a particular food item; DietaryGuidelines for Americans; email or phone questions to registered dieticians.
 

 

USDA-CNPP: MyPyramid Tracker
MyPyramid Tracker offers self-assessment tools. The dietary assessment provides information on your diet quality. After providing a day's worth of dietary information, you receive an evaluation by comparing the amounts of food you ate to current nutritional guidance. The physical activity assessment evaluates your activity status and provides related energy expenditure information. There is also a Food Calories/Energy Balance calculator.  All the tools can keep track up to a year.
