DrugDigest
DrugDigest is a consumer health and drug information resource dedicated to empowering consumers to make informed choices about drugs and treatment option. Topics range from drugs, vitamins, and herbs to breakthrough medical research and disease management.  There is also a database of information regarding drug interactions.
 

Drugs.com
Drugs.com lists over 24,000 medications and pharmaceuticals, including side effects and interactions. Images of the medications are provided. Unique to this Web Site is the Pill Identification Wizard, which is useful, for example, in identifying leftover pills in the medicine cabinet; you can specify size, shape, and color, and the Wizard displays images which match the criteria. 

Herb Research Foundation (HRF)
The HRF is a source of scientific information on the health benefits and safety of medicinal plants. The resources include a research library of 300,000 articles on thousands of herbs. The popular Herb Information Packet series contains articles, studies, and discussions by experts, and are available by email. Other services include botanical literature research; Greenpapers on a variety of herb topics; bookstore; bulletin board; botanical gallery of fine herb photography and image links. 

Johns Hopkins Antibiotic Guide
The Guide is a decision tool intended to provide clinicians with concise, timely information on the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. The information is arranged so that it is clinically useful at the point of care, instantly. The site has two main sections: the antibiotic database, accessed by searching on diagnosis, drug name, or pathogen; and the browsable areas of the site, which include news, features, and additional readings. 

MedlinePlus: Drugs, Supplements, and Herbal Information
MedlinePlus was created by the National Library of Medicine for locating authoritative health information. The Drugs, Supplements, and Herbal section of MedlinePlus gives detailed information on what to do before using a medicine, dosing and proper use, precautions and side effects, interactions with other medications, and much more. The site is also available in Spanish. 

PDRHealth: Drug Information
The Physician's Desk Reference (PDR) is sponsored by Thompson Health Care. Written in lay terms, it explains the safe and effective use of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, herbal medicines, and nutritional supplements. The Clinical Trials Resource Center provides patients with the latest in scientific and drug development. 

RxList: The Internet Drug Index
RxList provides drug searches on name or partial name, keyword, imprint code, and NDC code. The returned information contains dosage, usage, warnings and precautions, side effects, and drug interactions. There is also a list of the 300 most-dispensed prescriptions in the past year, and a link to the online pharmacy drugstore.com

SafeMedication.com
Sponsored by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, SafeMedication features easy-to-read information on more than 800 drugs. It is based on unbiased drug information resources developed independently by pharmacists and other medication experts. The Web Site includes a subscription to the quarterly drug info journal Family Rx. 

Safe Medicine (consumer medication safety newsletter)
Safe Medicine is a consumer health education newsletter which focuses on the prevention of medication errors. Every other month (six times a year), Safe Medicine teaches consumers how to become active partners with their healthcare practitioners and take a leading role in preventing medication errors.
