The website is organized to address the personal real-time needs of the user.  A Community Area has moderated discussion groups on many topics of interest.  There are also tools to help you set up and document improvement projects, collect data on key measures, and keep track of changes. 

John Hopkins University Quality and Safety Research Group
This site offers a multi-disciplinary team of individuals committed to improving quality and safety in health care.  The major topics include tools for healthcare professionals; education; research; helpful hints for patients and families. 

Joint Commission International Center for Patient Safety
This website provides resources and information concerning patient safety and numerous practical safety solutions.  The site includes the Joint Commission’s Sentinel Event Alert patient safety newsletter, safety tools, brochures on how to prevent medical mistakes, and other resources. 

National Patient Safety Foundation
This website provides the latest information on patient safety initiatives, research, and events. The numerous resources include a Patient Safety Bibliography, speaker service, patient Safety Store, and access to the quarterly journal Focus on Patient Safety.

PSNet is a national web-based resource featuring the latest news, literature, tools, and essential resources on patient safety. It provides access to WebM&M, a monthly journal of cases, commentaries, and perspectives on medical errors.  The Glossary section from the top menu bar is very helpful.
